The Role

 

Prepare Menu Components

·      Pull herbs, chop vegetables, and basic butchery

·      Prepare stocks, sauces, and other menu components according to recipes

Maintain Cleanliness of Prep Area

·      Sanitize prep surfaces between and after tasks

·      Store and label all prepped items in accordance with Health and Safety Standards

·      Dispose of garbage and waste

·      Sweep and mop prep kitchen area

Examine, accept, and store supplier deliveries

·      Verify that all items are accurate to order placed

·      Verify that expiry dates have not passed

·      Store delivered items in designated storage area

 

Who you are:

Preference will be given to those with:

·      Basic knife skills and understanding of culinary techniques

·      Trained on standard kitchen equipment safe usage and procedures

·      Valid WHMIS, Food Handlers, and Worker Awareness Training

·      Professional, responsible, positive attitude
